Honda Files Patent for prechamber Combustion

I am not smart enough to really know how this works, and I don't follow F1, so I hadn't really heard of this tech.

Sort of feels like sportbikes need some sort of spark to keep pushing forward.

Its pretty simple. Little chamber above the combustion chamber is where the fuel mixture is richest (and easier to get to burn) and that then in turn gets the leaner fuel mixture in the combustion chamber to start burning. Its been used on some diesel engines for years. Its not like Honda developed the idea to start with. Its been around.
